Flufernuggets

Hello Katie and friends!!
I have had a great time visiting Katie's friend Ava and her family in Cohasset, MA. Ava's family kept me safe from their 7 month old puppy named "Lucky" :) There are a lot of nice things about where Ava lives. There are 2 beaches in Cohasset. One is named "Sandy Beach" and the other is "Rocky Beach". Can you guess which one I am at in this picture? I also got to visit Ava's school, and attend her brother's annual Mr. Dykas Dance Party. It was pretty fun and I learned some new dances.... the electric slide, the whip and nae nae, cotton eyed Joe and gangnam style! I'm sad to leave beautiful Cohasset, but I can't wait to get back to the Proctor school and show you my new dance moves :)
Love & miss you! See you soon.

Tommy Visited Naples, FL

Hi Jason!  I got to visit another beach in Florida over Easter weekend!  I visited Naples beach.  As you can see, I had a lot of fun.  See you soon,
Love, Tommy

Charles in Nashville

Nashville is a very friendly and welcoming place.

The Grand Ole Opry was fun and there was so much history there. Charles got to hear lots of singing and especially liked the bluegrass.

He tried to learn guitar and thought it was easy enough to pick up the 3 chords. I love the music and he loved to play it. Since Nashville is "Music City" this seemed like a great skill for Charles to take on.

Charles got a laugh out of this. Southern slang can be a challenge to understand at times, but he handled it like a champ.

Did you know moon pies and goo goo clusters are made in Tennessee? You can find them anywhere around here!

Last but not least we visited the Parthenon. It is the only exact, to-scale replica of the Parthenon in Greece. Nashville is known as the Athens of the South thanks to this structure. It is surrounded by a park, so you often see people enjoying the sunshine and spending time with their loved ones.

Charles in New Orleans

We started our adventures in New Orleans, exploring the city and the culture. We didn't expect to almost lose Charles the first night to a couple of Storm Troopers! Luckily we outsmarted them.

We arrived in New Orleans 2 days after Mardi Gras, so we saw beautiful homes still decorated with beads. Somewhere along the way we ran into a parade float, how cool is that

A New Orleans staple, crawfish! Yummy. We really enjoyed the food there and for dessert we had beignets at the Cafe Du Monde. It definitely lived up to all the hype.

What's a trip to New Orleans without Jazz? We got Charles his very own sax so he could join in on the fun. Charles was the life of the party and received a lot of attention for is NOLA style.

Dallas, Texas

A little bit sad today. Visited the Dealy Plaza in Dallas, Texas. This is the location where John F Kennedy was assassinated in November 1963. He was from Boston too!

Beast Mode

Beast Mode traveled down to Virginia Tech for spring break and went on a hike to Mountain Lake.

S'mores

Hi Kaylie!

Today we all went to Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado and this place is amazing! I got to see all the large rock formations created thousands of years ago as well as hang out with Griswald the bear and see memorabilia of Uncle Keith's favorite bands! It is beautiful here and can't wait to share more about Colorado soon.

Love,
S'mores

Brady Travels to New Orleans

Brady is having a fabulous time visiting New Orleans. He is really enjoying the warm, 80 degree March days in Louisiana. Brady was excited to see palm trees for the first time! Brady thought that the iron railings on many of the buildings in New Orleans were interesting to look at. Brady also enjoyed the bright lights, palm tree lined streets, and the jazz music in the French Quarter. He didn't get to try any Cajun food on his visit, but he did try a crab flavored cheesecake!

I am sending you some picture of Kayle's Bear S’mores and he is having a great time in Colorado!

The first is of S’mores getting ready for a horseback ride in Golden, CO. The horse he is on is named Bullet and he is the same breed of horse as the one named Sitron in the Disney film, Frozen. The second is of S'mores riding the ski lift in Winter Park, Colorado with his Uncle Keith. It was a very snowy day and he had a great time! I hope you all enjoy!

Best,
Uncle Keith & Priscilla

Daisy in NYC

At the 9/11 memorial reflecting pools

Hanging out on the Hudson River- check out the Freedom Tower behind me!

Having a nice afternoon in Washington Square Park!

Popped into NYU's famous Bobst library for a quick read!

Jesse Bear in Austin Texas

360 Bridge -  This is a picture of me (Jesse) at Austin's famous 360 Bridge.  The bridge spans the Colorado River, and we are standing at the top of a cliff that overlooks the river and the city of Austin.

Colorado River - This is a picture of me from the top of Mount Bonnell.  The river behind me is further down the Colorado River, which runs directly through the city of Austin.

Austin Construction - Austin is one of the fastest growing cities in Texas and in the country.  There are cranes and new sky-scrapers flying up everywhere!

Lady Bird Lake - This is a picture from a bridge across Lady Bird Lake.  It's named after "Lady Bird Johnson," who was the wife of President Lyndon B. Johnson.  LBJ grew up close by.  The "lake" is actually just another part of the Colorado river.  The river has several dams across it that block of sections of it that flow through Texas.  Almost every day people are out on the lake on stand up paddle boards, canoes, and row boats.

Blue Bonnets - The Blue Bonnet is the state flower of Texas.  Lady Bird Johnson was famous for pushing for the beautification of Texas by the wide planting of wildflowers along its highways.  In the spring you can see giant swaths of blue bonnets along the highway.  It's a tradition for people to take photographs of their babies and young children sitting in the blue bonnets like I'm doing here!

Austin Bat Bridge - The bridge behind me is Austin's "Bat Bridge."  The bridge is North America's largest urban bat colony! There are 1.5 million "Mexican free-tailed" bats that live under this bridge.  In the summer time, people come and line up every single night by the bridge.  At dusk you can see as thousands upon thousands of bats come out to hunt for insects!  Unfortunately, I'm here in March, and the bats are away (they migrate to Mexico in the wintertime).

Bat Statue - A picture of me across from the Bat Bridge in front of the Bat statue

Bats - Here is a picture of me with the Bats! (Just kidding, it's me with a picture on one of the signs next to the bridge that explains about the bats).

South Congress Avenue - This is just a picture of me on top of the same bridge.  Just a normal bridge.  You may be able to see at the very end of the street the Texas State Capitol.

Willie Nelson Statue - Here is a picture of me with a Statue of Willie Nelson.  Austin if famous for live music, and the most famous person associated with Austin music is the country music singer Willie Nelson.  The statue is in front of a famous music venue called "Austin City Limits."  (ACL)

Willie Nelson Blvd - Willie Nelson is loved so much here they named the street that ACL is on after him.

Whole Foods -  Whole Foods is from Austin, Texas!  This is a picture of me in front of world headquarters for Whole Foods.  The building is the headquarters, and down below is one of the best grocery stores you've ever been in! (Because kids love grocery shopping, right?)

Texas State Capital - This is me in front of the Capital of Texas building.  The first thing everyone in Texas wants you to know about this building is that it is the tallest Capital building in the country, including the United States Capital.  No state capital is supposed to be taller than the U.S. Capital, which this one was not....but they added the statue on top afterwards, making it even taller.  Everything's bigger in Texas!
