Chestnut is in Virginia

Hi Everyone...
I am in Winchester, Virginia visiting my cousins Jenna (age 12) and Tessa (age 10). They took me to George Washington's Office where he worked while he built Fort Loudoun in 1755 until he moved into the fort in December of 1756. I am really in George Washington's hand.

After that we went to the White House Apple factory where they make apple juice, apple sauce, apple butter (really good) and lots of other yummy things.  Winchester (Frederick County) is called the Apple Capitol of the World.

Virginia produces over 400 Million pounds of apples a year.  We went to a farm market where they sell apples in all forms.  NEED MORE APPLE PIE.  Yummmm!!!!!

On to Vermont tomorrow.  Need more pie.

Max is in Buffalo

Friday, November 7th

Look how excited I am! I have arrived in Buffalo safe and sound. I am staying in a town called Clarence about 20 minutes outside of Buffalo actually and its cold! My new friends are so happy to have me visit. Even this cat Rocky! When they first opened my box he couldn't stop sniffing me. It really tickled. Then when he realized I wouldn't take his special seat on the back of this chair he was happy!

I'm going to stay with a family that has a Mom and Dad and two daughters, one that is in third grade and one that is in seventh.  They are very happy to take me to some of their favorite places this week.

Well its been a long journey and I'm beat. I better rest up for this weekend! See you tomorrow =)

Saturday, November 8th

After a big breakfast of extra crispy bacon we went to Clarence Middle School to check out a craft fair that they were having. This is a picture of us in one of the gyms. It was very busy with people. After the fair we had to go shopping but I told them I didn't want to walk around the mall so they let me wait in the car and take a nap. Later we had dinner (more bacon!) and then watched a movie and had lots of popcorn.

Sunday, November 9th

Their cat Rocky woke me up this morning with all of his meowing! I can't believe that cats can talk that much! Luckily they told me that we were going to watch football today so I felt excited about that. I found out pretty quick that here in Buffalo, we do not root for the Patriots. Like. Ever. But that's okay, I liked rooting for the Bills!! Go Bills!

Butterscotch is in Florida

We were up late last night.

I arrived in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.    It is the town next to Sarasota, Florida.  I am staying with Calvin’s grandparents, Helen & George Massaro.  We had a birthday party last night.   The birthday cake had a lion on the top, it looked like a jungle.  I am having a good time.   Say hi to all the children at Proctor School.

Teddy Tortaleenie is at Mt. Washington, NH

I feel like a giant Teddy Bear sitting here on top of the Presidential Mountain Range in New Hampshire with Mt. Washington, the highest peak in the whole northeast right between my legs. At one time it had the highest recorded winds in the whole world. The wind was over 200 miles per hour.

Bode, LOOK! There's Mt. Washington way, way over there.
You can see it snowed up there just last night. Pretty soon the snow will come down to the valleys and everyone will be skiing including you.
