Beast Mode Made it to Connecticut

Hi Trevor and friends,
I made it to West Hartford, Connecticut last night. It seems nice here so far. There are two boys and one of them is in the fourth grade like you! The other one is in the first grade. They have two cats here too. They both are smelling me a lot...I hope I don't stink!
Excitedly,
Beast Mode

Wildfire Visits Wisconsin

Wildfire arrived in Wisconsin a bit stiff. After receiving a chiropractic adjustment he was much looser and relaxed and was looking forward to exploring the area with Chase and Lucy!

Charles Checking in From Pittsfield, MA

Hello Tessa and all the fourth graders at the Proctor! This is Charles filling you in on my latest adventures.

It took me quite a while to travel from Washington state to western Massachusetts. I had several weather and delivery delays over the Christmas holidays.

I am safely with Tessa's Grandparents in a town called Pittsfield , MA.

I celebrated a belated New Year and spent a couple days resting up after my long journey. Here is a picture of me in my 2016 celebration glasses and another of when I went to the local museum and got to ride on a dinosaur! Oh, and the one of me outside sitting on a bird feeder is because I was told that not only winter birds but and occasional bear sometimes visits the yard. I was so hoping to meet one of my Northeast cousins!

I hope everyone had a great vacation and are enjoying being back in school with friends and staff. I'll be in touch,
Love, Charles

Dr. James Bearington's Time in Philadelphia

Here's a (belated) update from Dr. James Bearington about his time in the Philadelphia area --

Even though his next step is Nashville, Tennessee, Dr. James Bearington took time out from his busy travel schedule to stop by Valley Forge National Historical Park just outside Philadelphia. Valley Forge was an important place in American history. From December 19, 1777 to June 19, 1778, George Washington's Continental Army (approximately 12,000 troops) was encamped at Valley Forge. The winter at Valley Forge was a turning point in the American Revolution. The winter was difficult, and soldiers had to ensure a cold, snowy winter as their food and supplies ran out -- but it was also a time of retraining and rejuvenation. While at Valley Forge, General Washington's troops were trained by Baron Friedrich von Steuben, a German soldier who wanted to help America defeat the British. Von Steuben's professional military training program are considered key to the success of the Continental Army and marks a turning point in the Revolutionary War, when citizens became true soldiers.

Dr. Bearington took time to think about what great sacrifices were made by ordinary Americans. He saw a life-size statue of George Washington, visited an actual hut used by soldiers during the winter, and saw the monument dedicated by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to the memory of soldiers who served at Valley Forge. He is excited about his next stop on his trip but he had a great time in Pennsylvania!
