Coffee

February 5th – 7th, 2014

Keenan had to go on a business trip to Orlando, Florida and asked me if I wanted to go along with him. Of course I said yes as I really do like seeing the different places that I have been to. He had some testing that needed to be done on some Sunny Delight with a new design to the packaging material that they use. I got to take another plane ride as we flew from Atlanta Airport to Orlando Airport. We met a man named Mark Lemperle that he works with there. Mark lives and works in Cincinnati, Ohio at the Sunny Delight Corporate office. He is part of what they call the TSO (Technical Services Office) they work with all the packaging material changes and testing to make sure that they perform the way they need to perform. We were there for two days and had fun. They put the pallets of Sunny Delight on a machine that did a lot of shaking. I thought the pallets were going to fall over but they didn’t and the testing was successful. We wanted to go to Disney World or Epcot Center but it rained the whole time we were there so we couldn’t go.

Cinnamon Arrived in Dan Diego

Hi Abby,
This is five-year-old Bas with me. He read me stories from his book Little Bear. He thought I'd like that. They are very happy to have me here and we'll send a postcard this weekend. They will also make a honey cake for my birthday and make sure I have plenty of souvenirs when I leave.
Thanks!

Coffee Heads Back to Georgia

2/1/14

Time to head back to Georgia!

After packing up, Keenan, Sandy & I met with Debbie for breakfast before heading to the airport. We had a good hearty breakfast and said good bye to Debbie.

On the way to the airport I saw a huge bird in a tree I thought it was an Owl but it ended up being a very large Hawk. Keenan pulled over so we could get a picture of it.

We loaded the plane and flew to Salt Lake City, Utah where we had a short layover. Looking through the windows from the airport Salt Lake City is beautiful, plenty of snow covered mountains.

Keenan and Sandy said there is good skiing in Utah. We made it back to Georgia very late Saturday night, I’m going to need a few days to get back to eastern time zone.

On Wednesday I’m going to fly to Florida with Keenan for a short business trip. Looking forward to some fun in the sun, hope he doesn’t work me too hard.

Miss you Lauren!

Coffee Goes Skiing

January 28 – 31, 2014

I was very excited to go skiing today, we went to a ski resort called Whitefish Mountain in the town of Whitefish. When we got there it started snowing by the time we did a couple of runs it was snowing so bad we couldn’t see so we did a few more runs and called it an early day.

We went back to the Villa, I helped Keenan start a fire and then Keenan, Sandy and I put a puzzle together. The next morning when we woke up it was still snowing; decided to go skiing back at Whitefish. Had a good day skiing just not a good picture day. Later in the night we met up with Debbie and her son Keith and went for pizza. It continued to snow throughout the night into the morning, we got up the next morning and went skiing at black tail Mountain in Lakeside, again snowed all day, another good day but again not a good picture day. I’m really having fun skiing, I’ve been staying tucked in Keenan’s pocket so I would stay warm and dry. The next day still snowing we went back to Black Tail Mountain for our last day of skiing.

From a road sign that I saw if I come back in the summer I just might run into a cousin or two, the sign said "Be Bear Aware!"

Below are some pictures of my ski adventure.

Miss you Lauren! Wish you were here!

Coffee Sees Some Bison

January 27, 2014

Hi, It’s me again,

Today has been predicted to be the nicest day of the week so we have decided to take a day trip south to The National Bison Range. It is about a 2 hour drive but is said to be really pretty. To get there we had to drive half way around Flathead Lake, and wow what beautiful scenery! On our way we came across some Bald Eagles and Osprey, below are some pictures. At the refuge the upper drive was closed because it was just too icy for vehicles. The refuge is a National Park set aside to protect the Bison (Buffalo) with a total of 18,500 acres of land and was established in 1908 and is one of the oldest wildlife refuges in the United States. While there we saw several Coyotes, a lot of White Tail Deer and of course some Bison.

Love and Miss You,
