Welcome to Day 3!
We got up early and hopped on another train to head to Brockenhurst for the day!
What is in Brockenhurst, you may wonder? WILD PONIES!!!!
Part of this area in England is a National Forest Park. There are towns that in the forest, and these ponies are allowed to roam all around! They do actually have owners, but they never have to go home to a barn or to stay in a fenced in farm. We rented bikes and pedaled our way around part of the forest, and saw so many wild ponies! Sometimes they were hidden and it was tricky to find them, and other times, they were right next to our path.
This one was just lying down trying to take a nap, but he woke up when Erin got close to him.
Erin even “booped” a pony. :0) She said they were fluffier than regular horses.
It was a long and chilly day, but we had a lot of fun! But our trip isn’t over yet!
