Wisconsin Cheese with Murphster

Jen's quest for Wisconsin cheese was a success. Did you know Wisconsin is the largest cheese producing state in the US? Due to the many dairy farms started by European settlers long ago, cheese making here is a longtime tradition & way of life for many. Over 2.6 billion pounds of cheese comes from WI each year & they make over 600 kinds of cheeses! Wow!

Jen, Doug & I shared a wedge of Bruschetta Jack cheese for breakfast, it was so yummy, it was Monterery Jack cheese infused with sundried tomato, basil, parsley & garlic. I've never had cheese for breakfast before, but Jen says ANY time of day in Wisconsin is a good time to eat cheese. :)
Wisconsin is home to the football team, the Greenbay Packers (who are in the playoffs coming up) & just like us New Englanders love our Patriots, Wisconsinites are crazy about their Packers! Out of all the accents Jen has heard from folks around the country, she thinks WI & MN accents are her favorite. There are really nice people up this way & I'm having a good time.
Next time you see a package of cheese, check the label...maybe it came from Wisconsin! :)
